It's been a while!

I haven't blogged for like two weeks... how odd is that!  It's been so busy for me lately.  I haven't had the time to just chill out... and here I am tonight.  Today (and this weekend...) I just have been hanging out not doing studying and catching up-ish on my life.  O how wonderful.  It's so tempting to just eat and watch Friends and to not go to school.  Tomorrow I must get to work.  I have another long wednesday.  Anyway, last weekend I went to colorado with my teammates and it was great.  I had such a fun time even though I was reluctant to go.  That's when all the good things seem to happen when you don't want to go and things just seem to be turning out wrong.  We won 1 of our 3 games, but I played in all of them and it was worth it to have a great time away from BYU.  I'm so so so done with the dorms, the bathrooms here where when you just want to relieve yourself a questionable stench permiates the porcelan thrown and the stall and the canc.  Can't wait till I can live at home.  But i've been thinking about that a lot lately, and I will miss my roommate, and our laughs, and the girls on my floor and seeing whitney everyday... that's what's going to be the craziest part about moving back home.  I only have two more weeks ish left.  It's gone by so fast.  I'm making a pact to not let any great moments pass me by next sememter.  I'm going to meet a lot of boys and make a lot of new friends and just have a great college experience.  I've also decided that I want to work in a hospital this summer and I'm actually hoping to get my CNA.  So I guess a lot of things have changed since last I wrote on my blog.... Well I love life... lets go on with it! :)

p.s. these are my roommates for next year... :) yay

Provoking thought...

So as I was reading some selections from Frued for my Humanities class, I had this feeling... when is the point in which you truly appreciate your past and lean on hopes for the future to help you become what your ideal self?  EX: I was once a chubby chubster.  Very large for a 12 year old girl.  I have made my life into a world that pretty much revolves around fitness... my major, my passions... pretty much deal with health and fitness!  So, how did this happen?  And when did I reach that point of contentedness that I feel I am in right now?  I think it was after my first semester of college when I decided that i was quite normal, and that I was quite happy with being a strong and fit girl, stead of being a sticky one... :)  Happy day to ya.

Girls night

Today has been such a wonderful and beautiful day.  It felt like true Utah springtime... my favorite of all the seasons because of the prospect of summer and a break from snow!!
:) I worked out this morning, went to a shower for my friend Emily, and then laid and played in the sun for two hours.  I was with brandi and we just talked, did a little homework, and enjoyed the opportunity to be outside without a jacket and shorts on!!!  I also bought some underarmor shorts from my gym for only 12 dollars!  How awesome is that! It's been good.  To end out the night, I got songs on my phone and made this wonderful frame for my room and appartment next year and will make another one sometime soon.  Along with that I
got to spend some fun time with my family, so all in all, life is good.  I've been realizing so much lately how lucky I am to live the life I do.  The things I worry about are so little in the whole skeem of things.  I don't have to question if i'll have food to eat or a comfortable place to sleep, or that I'll get shot during the night.  Utah is such a safe place in comparison to the rest of the world.  I'm just happy to have my privileges and need to be more grateful for them.     Anyways, here's a picture of my frame! :)

Should I go five?

It's been four days since I showered.  I think that's QUITE enough of the no shower... Yet.  I'm tempted to go five.  Who knows, maybe it'll bring me the men.  I'm gettin so lonely.
I think Degas had it right in this picture.  I feel this way sometimes... ;) too much 'absent' (a spiked drink that was more like today's equiv. of cocaine.)

O ya baby

TIny insight into life...

"The Power of One"
My humanities class is bomb.  As Anna says, the word bomb is all encompassing... it's better then the bestest... Absolute.  Pretty much these two pictures are bomb.  They give me hope.  I believe experiencing trials and coming out on top is one of the greatest things we can do in this life.  It is more admirable then making millions of dollars, being famous for playing sports well, being a well-known author, actor, or community leader.  Each individual trial we overcome in this life is a stepping stone towards what is the very best, absolute = Heaven.  If we, like this picture of the women holding back what seems to be an entire army, hold off all of the hardships, temptations, and just plain old crap that Satan and his army throw at us, we will make a difference to ourselves and many others.  We will come out on top like the man on the mountain.
(Caspar Friedrich, Traveler looking over the sea of fog. 1818)
This man seems to be on the presipus of his life looking over in Fear? with Hope? deep in Thought? experiencing Feeling?- you interpret for yourself- but to me this painting makes you feel something awesome (awe-some).  It is a reminder to me that each day we have the chance to look over what we want to learn from yesterday (the hard climb up the mountain), experience today (enjoying the top), and make for tomorrow (the surroundings of untangible atmosphere).  The VASTNESS of the future is sublime... it is important to take something out of each experience of life and remember the good times... To try not to look so much into what could, would, and should be the future, but at what can and will be today.

Thanks for all the good advice etc. Mamma, Daddy, Kim, Danielle, Paul, Spencer, Chris, Jacee, Katie, Kyle, Jeff, Brandi, Lindley, Whitney, Anna, Ness, Tanner, Carla, etc etc etc!!!  :)
Loves to you all.
Life is good... Each day is a blessing.
Live each day like it was your last.
P.S. - Talk about being reflective this sememster!!! I'm growing into grandmother willow.

Cali forni ahhhh

This is me surfing for real... I was trying really hard to be in hawaii simultaneously ha ha!
Brandi, Lindley and I found this awesome little bridge place under the boardwalk.  It was fun to pretend we were falling of the edge... from here came some of my favorite pictures.
The girls!  We always take pictures on vacations we go on.  How lucky am I to have gone on so many vacations with my close friends because of sports or art history or just cuz we can!! :)

O how I love the sun shine!  It reminds me of the person that I want to be every day.  I'm so much happier with an ocean breeze in my face and my buddies by my side in shorts and a t-shirt.  It was a great trip and a perfect excuse to get away.  Now I probably should have been paying more attention to Lacrosse while I was there, but I mostly just loved being away from p-town and drama and have an excuse to just let loose.  It was fun to be with my team and we even one one game!!!  It's kinda funny though cuz we all seemed to enjoy the beach more then the actual lacrosse playing.  Girls will be girls.

Life/Crap happens... pick it up and throw it away

I like to think that when you have bad days they always seem to get better... Seems like lately the bad days just go on and on... I'll have parts of days that aren't so bad... but then bomb hits and kelsey's getting stretched into 1,000 pieces... so here's a list of things I'm grateful for today... things that made today a good day.

1.) I slept in my own bed in sandy with really warm sheets. bless-ed.

2.) I have friends that are willing to talk to me and be open with me about important issues in their lives.

3.)  I have a computer that works that lets me keep up with people who I don't see very much and stalk those that I want to see more. (joke.)

4.)  I have AWESOME support system back home and know that no matter what I do, they'll be there for me.

5.)  I have the book of mormon to teach me the truth in this life and lead me in the right direction when I feel like there are too many directions to choose from.

6.) My body works well and I can run off my problems most the time.

7.) I'm bringin sexy back

So yesterday

So yesterday was so hard for me!  I was anxious the whole day and just felt like my head would explode or something.  I like being busy but being as busy as I am on wednesday's is starting to keep me all knotted up.  I had a good night though so it was okay that the day was super stressful.  I just chilled out for a few hours and when I went to bed, I just got this little comfort... I even took a picture of it.  My bed was so comfortable-looking and it gave me an awesome nights sleep.  I have also been exercising fairly a lot so my pent up energy goes to a good sorce instead of going to my school-work.
