Thanks daddy!

"Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, everyone is fighting some kind of battle.  Live simply, love generously, care deeply and speak kindly.  Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.  It's about learning to dance in the rain."
~Anonymous

My dad sent all our family this quote today, and I loved it.
How perfect is this!
Have a happy day.

Limitless??

Lately I've felt like I limit myself.  I question how this is possible.  Aren't you supposed to be able to do anything you put your heart and mind to?  If you were to ask me what I wanted most in the world, what would I say?? I probably would say that I want to run effortlessly and be 15 pounds lighter. HOW VAIN AM I??? Seriously, if I could have anything I wanted, that would be it.  Not a man (which still would be nice), not anything you could buy, but a toned body that lets me function at my highest level.  But despite my good efforts to be a healthy eater and exerciser, I keep eating so poorly, and skipping out on my intended morning runs.  I sleep in late, go to bed later, and slack off whenever I can.  I love who I am, don't get me wrong.  I feel so blessed to be moving and breathing with full mobility, and I have an intense love of the gospel which I can't wait to keep learning about and growing from, but everyone wants what they seem to never be able to have. This is why I want to stop others from getting my sort of mentality...
My ambition for the rest of my life is to become a wife and mother, but on the other hand, and what seems more realistic to me in the state I'm in right now... is to graduate from BYU (or a good college) and get my degree in Health Education so that I can teach high school kids about having good self esteem and not letting trivial things get in the way of their aspirations... along with this hope comes the bigger, better thing I want to do with my life.  I desire to be a motivational speaker who targets middle school girls and teaches them about self esteem in a way they can relate to, understand, and hopefully be interested in.  So much effects young women in today's world.  If you don't look like what 'others see as great' every day, sadness seems to prevail in your life.  If something in the slightest goes wrong, your life can topple out of control.  Some people kill themselves (by becoming anorexic, bulimic etc.) after gaining five or so pounds.  This is unethical!, and I know Heavenly Father sheds tears for guilt ridden young women who have insecure feelings about their bodies, the things that they eat, and their self image.  I want to change the world of young women!  What they see and how they act in regards to their self-concept.  I want to take Satan's evil plan of destroying women through self doubt, and change it into the women's biggest strength!  This is my most sincere of all desires.  I want to use each of my personal experiences to help in this cause.  So how do I do it?
*I will gain a licence to teach aerobics classes (because what other place to feel good about yourself then at a gym with other women similar to you, working towards goals of physical fitness??? Support group, that does more then just talk. Perfect.)
*I will graduate, and excel, in Heath Education with minors in teaching, and women's studies.
*I will work hard to become a better person so that I can reflect to those around me what I believe in so strongly.
*I will become Hildagard

My family thinks that my desire for heath and exercise is scary, and sometimes, I scare myself at my 'lust' for fitness, but the reason for this is because I want to see POSITIVE changes in people's lives around me, especially myself.  The kind of joy you can find through endorphins that make you just feel happy during and after exercising.
O heaven.  I have a large responsibility.  But I want to take it by the horns and ride whatever waves come my way with poise and power.

I will run with the punches.

I will be

'limitless'.

Just to clarify...

FAMILY. I still love you and will be with you.  Especially on sundays.  It doesn't make logical or economical sense to come home as much as I did last semester.  I spent a fourth of my savings on gas last semester I swear, and my schedule is CRAZY!  If I haven't laid it out for you yet, let me enlighten you as to what my weeks entail...

Monday:
*School from 9-2 with a one hour break (during which I work out at the RB)
*Work from 3-5
*Conditioning from 5-6
*Dinner at the Canc...
*Family home evening??? (most likely that one will be a "YEAH RIGHT"!) ha ha ha...
*Homework (and maybe a jazz game if they're on... )
Tuesday:
*BIG BREAK - during which I study from 9-11, then I work from 11-12, then lunch, then more studying...
*4:30 - 6:30- Lacrosse practice
*6:30 - 7:30- Dinner at the Canc with Kyle
*7:30 - 9:00- Humanities class
*9:00-10:00- Work again...
*10:00-1:00a.m. ish- Study/Homework
Wednesday:
*Same as monday except that after stats class I have stats lab at 2:00, then work, then I have another class from 5-7.
*Conditioning from 8-9.
One work for wednesdays = POOPY
Thursday:
*Same as tuesday with a 12:00 class thrown in.
Friday:
*8:00 conditioning
*Class from 9-2...
*Work at 11:00, and 2:00.
Saturday:
*Practice 9:00-11:00a.m.

Pretty much I have no time for a life, so it's okay that I have no serious (ha) man friend cuz I need to do well in school with my 'extra' time.

P.S.- Kyle got FSN so bring on the Jazz games along with everything else.
P.P.S - I'm also playing on an intramural basketball team.

This semester is going to do this to me... It's already started.

More grown up?

Today I feel more grown up... do I look more grown up then I did before I came to school?  I feel like I have learned so much!  vundaba.  I feel like I understand a little bit more about the importance of the gospel and of gaining a good education.  I have a better attitude... so far I'm quite happy with my own little life... he he.  I have better time management skills and that relieves a lot of stress.  It's been a good day and I've gotten lots of stuff done.  My schedule for the rest of the year is pretty much down to the hour every day besides the weekends.  I have brakes on monday nights after 5 and wednesday nights after 7... the rest of the time is scheduled out with either school work, or classes and practice for lacrosse.  Look at me go right??  The saddest part of this whole thing is that I am busy on tuesday and thursday nights meaning that I miss the best nights of television.  Maybe it's a blessing though eh? :)

Lazy Pants

I feel like the most lazy pants person... I've hardly gotten anything done since I've been home from the Y.  I've worked out a few times, but heaven knows it was not good enough.  Today was my best work out for what feels like years.  But I've made some new goals for the new year of 2009.  I hope be better suited for the challenges that come to me... So here are my 6 goals for 2009:
1.) I will have more fun by: spending more time with my friends and maybe a little less with my family, and at home in sandy... No offence family you know i love you, just need to get to know more people and enjoy what life I have before me.
2.) I will run a marathon!!! In October!... Hopefully the St. George one if after the Salt Lake or Provo half marathon I feel like I could do that twice.
3.) I will grow up and be proper. It's about time I start acting like a lady.
4.) I will do better in school by: having a better outlook because now I know what it's like to be in college.  And I'll have better study habits and more time to study... maybe... hopefully...
5.) I will SHOWER MORE, LOOK LIKE A GIRL MORE, AND WAKE UP ONTIME AND GO TO BED ONTIME.  What a goal huh... but seriously, it's going to make all the difference in the rest of the stuff.
6.) lastly if I play lacrosse I will be more prepared because I will run on the days I have stick practice in the mornings... come to me a hot body!!! HAHAHA

HAPPY 2009, the good, better, and possibly best new year.  :)
